Julie Sydenham – Visual Artist – Milton NSW Australia

As an artist, business owner, teacher and mother (not necessarily in that order), I constantly struggle with the delicate balance between doing the things I love and the things I must.

Life can be chaos.

The same can be said for many. I don’t think I’m anything special in this regard. In fact most of my friends, male and female, have all the same struggles.

Thus far in my life I have been privileged enough to be able to make a living doing the very things that I’m compelled to do… making art, teaching art and working with creative people.

My challenge for myself is to sort through the chaos and emerge at the other end – happy, fulfilled and accomplished at all the things I do.

No regrets.

With the love and support of my wonderful family and friends, I continue on my chaotic journey of creativity and discovery, slowly meandering my way towards the ‘true’ art that is uniquely me, if such a thing exists?

And then there’s the other things I love… singing with the Glorious MUDsingers every week and singing and playing uke with my lovely friends from Ukenasia (We’ll cure or kill ya!). I’m the pirate!
